Lai Chau strengthens forest fire prevention and fighting in the dry season

The whole province has proactively developed plans and measures to prevent and contain the risk of forest fires in the last months of the year and the dry season.

According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for the last months of the dry season in 2025 and the beginning of 2026 is complex, extreme and unpredictable; sunny weather is likely to last for many days, without rain, posing a high risk of forest fires, explosions, accidents and incidents in many localities, including Lai Chau province.

Therefore, in order to proactively prevent and stop the risks of fire, explosion, accidents and incidents occurring in the last months of the year and the dry season of 2025-2026 in the area, Lai Chau province requests the Department of Agriculture and Environment to proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Command to do a good job of forest protection and forest fire prevention and fighting, warning and forecasting of forest fire levels;

Develop a plan to organize fire fighting drills and exercises; strengthen patrol and control forces, assign 24/7 duty in key areas under fire prevention and fighting management during the dry season and promptly detect and handle, monitor and update the situation;

Propose to equip fire-fighting equipment and tools; organize coordination well, mobilize forces and equipment to participate in fire fighting when necessary, coordinate with the Investigation Agency at the same level to investigate and clarify violations of fire prevention and fighting when there are signs of crime.
