Bank interest rates today November 12, 2025: Term under 6 months highest of the year

After two months, a series of commercial banks increased interest rates, making rates above 4%/year common for terms under 6 months.

According to statistics for domestic commercial banks, currently 14/35 and 16/35 banks list 1-month and 2-month term deposit interest rates at 4%/year or higher, respectively.

Notably, 23/35 banks listed deposit interest rates of 4%/year or higher for terms of 3-5 months, while two months ago, the rate below 4%/year was still the majority.

The highest interest rate for deposits with a term of less than 6 months is currently 4.75%/year, listed by Techcombank for a term of 3 months, and by Bac A Bank for a term of 3-5 months (with deposits of over 1 billion VND). This is also the maximum interest rate according to the ceiling interest rate set by the State Bank for deposits with a term of less than 6 months.

Some banks also apply promotional programs with additional interest rates, causing the mobilization rate for terms under 6 months at these banks to reach the ceiling of 4.75%/year according to regulations.

Currently, the highest savings interest rate for 1 and 2 month terms is 4.6%/year listed by Eximbank; followed by Bac A Bank (4.4%/year for deposits under 1 billion, 4.6%/year for deposits over 1 billion); Vikki Bank and VCBNeo are also in the leading group with interest rates of 4.35%/year and 4.4%/year.

The remaining banks listed interest rates from 4%/year for 1-2 month terms include: BVBank, VPBank, HDBank, OCB, MBV, Viet A Bank, NCB,SHB , BaoViet Bank, Sacombank...

With a 3-month term, Techcombank leads with deposit interest rates up to 4.75%/year regardless of the deposit amount. In addition, there are Eximbank (4.7%/year); Bac A Bank, VCBNeo and Vikki Bank (4.55%/year); BVBank (4.5%/year); BaoViet Bank (4.45%/year); VPBank, MBV and HDBank (4.4%/year)...

Meanwhile, the highest savings interest rate for a 4-5 month term is 4.7%/year, listed by Eximbank, VCBNeo and MBV. The highest 5-month term interest rate at OCB is also up to 4.65%/year, applied to deposits over VND500 million.

With KienlongBank and LPBank just increasing interest rates, 11 banks have increased interest rates since the beginning of November including: Sacombank, VPBank, MB, HDBank, GPBank, BVBank, Techcombank, BaoViet Bank...

According to experts, the increase in deposit interest rates will likely push up bank lending interest rates, unless banks continue to drastically cut unnecessary costs. However, the increase in deposit interest rates also reflects the seasonal supply-demand law of the market, as the end of the year is the time when businesses need more loans from banks.
