Eximbank counter deposit interest rate May 2025

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) has officially applied a new deposit interest rate schedule for individual customers. The current interest rate at the counter ranges from 3.5% to 5.4%/year, applied for terms from 1 month to 60 months, with interest paid at the end of the term.

In the short-term group, interest rates have not changed much. Specifically, the 1-2 month term remains at 3.5%/year. The 3-5 month term has been slightly adjusted to 3.6%/year, up 0.1 percentage points compared to before.

However, from the 6-11 month term, the interest rate was adjusted down slightly to 4.9%/year, 0.1 to 0.2 percentage points lower than the previous month.

For 12-month and 15-month terms, the interest rate applied is 5.1%/year, down from 0.1 to 0.3 percentage points. Meanwhile, for long terms such as 18-month, 24-month and 60-month, the interest rate is 5.4%/year.

In particular, interest rates for 36-month and 60-month terms were adjusted to increase sharply from 0.2 to 0.3 percentage points, showing that Eximbank is stepping up to attract long-term capital.

In May 2025, Eximbank continues to maintain a higher preferential interest rate for online deposits compared to over-the-counter deposits. The online interest rate schedule applies from May 5, ranging from 4.0% to 5.7%/year, depending on the term and time of deposit during the week.

From Monday to Friday, the interest rate paid at the end of the term is as follows:

1 month: 4.0%

6 months: 5.1%

12 months: 5.3%

24 months: 5.6%

36 months: 5.6%

In particular, on Saturday and Sunday, Eximbank's online interest rates are slightly higher:

1 month: 4.1%

6 months: 5.2%

12 months: 5.4%

24 months: 5.7%

36 months: 5.5%

In addition to receiving interest at the end of the term, Eximbank also applies monthly interest rates, ranging from 3.9% to 5.5%/year, creating more flexible options for customers.
