After the merger, the commune has a larger total production area, creating conditions for the formation of concentrated, large-scale commodity production areas, especially in agriculture . This is a solid foundation for the collective economy to promote its strengths; cooperatives and groups have the conditions to synchronously apply science and technology to production activities, helping to reduce input costs and increase productivity. Currently, the commune has a rice growing area of 11,553 hectares, fruit trees of 610 hectares, and vegetables of all kinds of more than 250 hectares.

Maximizing the potential requires the consensus of the people, the initiative of collective economic organizations and timely and effective support from the local government. From this assessment, Vinh Hoa Hung commune has stepped up propaganda, raising awareness of the people and the political system about the role and significance of collective economy, gradually helping cooperatives increase the number of members and improve the quality of operations.

According to the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Vinh Hoa Hung Commune, Tran Quoc Nghiep, in order to transform potential and advantages into practical efficiency, the commune reviews and encourages the merger of small cooperatives in the same industry and profession to create large-scale cooperatives with strong capital and management capacity; plans production areas, organizes production in a concentrated and specialized direction, suitable to the advantages of land and climate of the locality after the merger. The commune promotes links between cooperative groups and cooperatives within the commune, large enterprises, and research units to form sustainable value chains. The commune focuses on building and developing OCOP products and key products to improve product quality and increase competitiveness in the market.

In particular, the commune has stepped up guidance and support for cooperative groups and cooperatives to digitally transform their production and business activities, such as: Applying member management software and production tracking to help save costs; attaching stamps and QR codes to trace the origin of products, enhancing consumer confidence, thereby increasing value; bringing agricultural products and handicrafts of the commune to e-commerce platforms, expanding the consumption market.

In recent years, thanks to the attention to developing the collective economy and synchronously implementing solutions to improve the quality of cooperatives and cooperatives, the commune has effectively implemented the project of restructuring the agricultural sector associated with building new rural areas, meeting market demand and local advantages. From there, creating concentrated raw material areas for the commune's key agricultural products (rice, pineapple, pepper, fruit trees) associated with growing area codes and traceability. Currently, the commune has built 25 growing area codes for export, with a total area of over 884 hectares, accounting for 10.3% of the agricultural production area; there are 4 products meeting 3-star OCOP standards.

Up to now, the whole Vinh Hoa Hung commune has 54 cooperative groups and 7 cooperatives, attracting 2,738 agricultural households to participate in various types of cooperative economy, accounting for 52.8% of agricultural production households, exceeding the resolution target by 5.6%. Most of the cooperative groups and cooperatives operate effectively, promoting their role in production and business, contributing to improving people's lives, bringing the average income per capita of the commune to 77 million VND/person/year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hong - Director of Vinh Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative said: "With the determination to join hands and work together to get rich on our homeland, we actively support people to apply science, technique and technology in growing mangosteen and durian to meet the standards of purchasing enterprises, save production costs, bring stable income, and improve the quality of life".

From the results achieved, the collective economy in Vinh Hoa Hung is increasingly affirming its role in the socio-economic development of the locality. With the right direction, flexible methods and consensus of the people, the cooperatives here are gradually becoming a solid support, helping farmers get rich on their homeland. We believe that with determination and solidarity, Vinh Hoa Hung will continue to reap many new achievements, contributing to building an increasingly rich and prosperous countryside.
