At 8 a.m., a production team of over 10 members from a gift shop was working at full capacity. In recent months, demand for Christmas decorations has surged. The entire team is focused on production to fulfill orders from numerous provinces and cities.

Capitalizing on the trend among young people of keeping plants in glass containers, Christmas-themed terrariums (miniature Christmas scenes in glass enclosures) have been planned and mass-produced. According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Truong (born 1992 - co-founder of the business), his facility has been producing an average of 2,000 orders per month recently, generating revenue of over 2 billion VND.

Terrariums are glass plant containers that contain a miniature ecosystem consisting of soil, plants, sand, gravel, water, and possibly some live animals. This model creates a miniature ecosystem that mimics natural environments: tropical forests, deserts, combining soil, rocks, plants, moss, and water to form a unique mini- world .

After creating the layout for the gift boxes, the production staff uses dried plants and flowers such as cypress moss, cushion moss, and acacia roots to create vivid models inside. These finished products are then shaped and completely sealed.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Truong, unlike traditional terrariums, the glass tanks produced by his facility do not require watering, soil, or light. "The products use a special type of preserved moss, which is real moss from nature. After harvesting, selecting, and undergoing a special processing, the product can be 'frozen' in a fresh, realistic state," he said.

These unique gifts come in a variety of sizes and are priced from 500,000 VND to 3 million VND per item.

The demand for gifts during holidays and festivals always increases sharply. Currently, Mr. Truong's business has experienced periods of being overwhelmed due to insufficient raw material supply to meet customer demand. On average, there are hundreds of orders every day, both domestically and internationally.

Besides producing gifts, Mr. Truong's workshop also provides employment training for people with disabilities. Vu Thi Mai Huong (hearing impaired) is one of the skilled artisans in creating these meticulously crafted products. "Huong has a high level of concentration and more dexterous hands than others. Therefore, she is surprisingly well-suited to this job. In some months, Huong's salary and bonuses are even the highest in the team," Mr. Truong said.
