Lam Dong: A row of "forgotten" electric poles is being relocated

After more than 2 weeks of SGGP Newspaper reporting the situation of dozens of electric poles being "forgotten" under Bui Thi Xuan Street, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province, the construction unit has coordinated with the electricity industry to relocate them.

Specifically, the Da Lat Electricity Management Team ( Lam Dong Electricity Company) has mobilized forces to support the Da Lat Area Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of the Bui Thi Xuan Street Upgrade and Expansion Investment Project) and the construction unit, Hung Nguyen Company Limited, to clean up and relocate electric poles along the road, especially under Bui Thi Xuan Street. It is expected that by November 20, the relocation of the electric poles will be completed to restore the uniform ground on Bui Thi Xuan Street.

The investment project to upgrade and expand Bui Thi Xuan Street was approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to be implemented in November 2023 with a length of 1.65km and a total investment of 109 billion VND. The project is invested by the Da Lat Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, a joint venture of Hung Nguyen Company Limited and Hong Truong Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company to implement the construction in the period of 2023-2025 from Lam Dong Provincial budget.

Previously, on October 28, SGGP Newspaper reported that the investment project to upgrade and expand Bui Thi Xuan Street (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) after upgrading the sidewalk system, asphalt, road markings, and installing traffic signs had been put into use for many months, but dozens of electric poles were "forgotten" on the road. This situation not only causes loss of urban aesthetics, lack of uniformity in construction, but also poses a potential risk to traffic safety for road users.

Immediately after SGGP Newspaper reported, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat issued a document requesting the Da Lat Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board to urgently relocate and reclaim the entire power line system on existing old electric poles to ensure traffic safety for vehicles traveling on Bui Thi Xuan Street.
