On May 22nd, at the Lam Dong Provincial Library (Phan Thiet ward), the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Provincial Library, held the inauguration ceremony for the Indian Cultural Space.
Attending the program were Dr. Vipra Pandey - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Library, as well as representatives of departments, agencies, students and pupils in the area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that Vietnam and the Republic of India have a long-standing traditional friendship, nurtured over many generations and continuously strengthened and developed in many fields, including culture, education , and people-to-people exchanges.

The establishment of the Indian Cultural Space in Lam Dong province is a vivid testament to this excellent cooperative relationship, and also demonstrates the province's interest in cultural diplomacy in the current period.

“The Indian cultural space is not only a space for reading and research, but also a place to introduce the unique values of Indian history, culture, country, and people to officials, the people, especially the younger generation of Lam Dong province. Through this, it contributes to expanding knowledge, strengthening exchange and mutual understanding, and promoting friendship between the people of the two countries,” the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
Also at the ceremony, Dr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, highly appreciated the enthusiastic support and effective coordination of the agencies and units of Lam Dong province throughout the project implementation process, and expressed his belief that the Indian Cultural Space will become a meaningful symbol of friendship between the people of India and Vietnam.

According to a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, in the coming time, the Department will continue to effectively utilize the Indian Cultural Space to better serve the needs of readers , as well as strengthen coordination with the Indian Embassy to supplement materials and organize exchange activities, exhibitions, and introduce Indian culture to the people of Lam Dong province in particular and Vietnam in general.
