Lam Dong province reviews the "I'm a Commune Police Officer" model and the "Popular Education Movement" campaign.

On January 19th, the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department held a conference to review the implementation of the "I'm a Commune Police Officer" model and the "Popular Education Movement".

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Tran Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Police, stated: Building a professional and modern commune police force is not only an immediate requirement but also a long-term strategic task. In this context, the "I am a commune police officer" model and the "Digital literacy education for the people" movement are being implemented with very clear objectives: to enhance the sense of responsibility and service to the people among commune police officers and soldiers, and to gradually improve their skills in applying information technology, meeting the requirements of digital transformation in police work.

Following the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Police have deployed 370 officers and soldiers to communes, wards, and special zones to enhance the effectiveness of state management in security and order and support local authorities in digital transformation.

Officers and soldiers assigned to specific areas actively study online and directly assist people in accessing public services in the digital environment, especially through the National Public Service Portal and the VNeID application.

Young police officers from Lam Dong province went to Phu Quy island to implement the "I'm a commune police officer" model.

According to the report presented at the conference, after three months of implementation, the reinforcement of provincial-level police officers to grassroots areas has achieved certain results in line with the set objectives and requirements.

Accordingly, the force proactively advised the Party Committee and People's Committee at the commune level to accelerate the implementation of resolutions and plans on the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, and the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation.

The results of citizen reception and support for public administrative procedures and services have been promptly implemented by officers and soldiers reinforced to the commune-level police, creating satisfaction among the people. The movement has helped people form the habit of using online public services. The campaign "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province" has been effectively implemented with the participation of reinforced officers and soldiers.

From time to time, additional officers and soldiers are deployed to specialized units to carry out the professional duties of the commune-level police. This helps to improve the professional and technical quality of the commune-level police; creating cohesion and enhancing the effectiveness of coordination between departments under the Provincial Police and commune, ward, and special zone police in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.

The comrade emphasized that, through this model, the reinforced officers and soldiers have had more opportunities to train and improve their moral character, organizational discipline, and sense of responsibility. At the same time, it spreads the model of effective public relations and efficient methods of the Lam Dong Provincial Police. This is not only an initiative in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level but also clearly demonstrates the spirit of serving the people in the context of digital transformation spreading deeply to every locality.

On this occasion, the Lam Dong Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 19 individuals and certificates of merit from the Director of the Provincial Police to 37 individuals for their outstanding contributions and achievements in implementing the model.
