The family of Mr. Kieu Minh Tam owns more than 5 hectares of agricultural land in Phu Thanh village, Hiep Thanh commune. Of this, nearly 6,000 square meters of land planted with short-term crops is located within the area to be reclaimed for the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project, with a portion of it situated along National Highway 27 passing through the commune.
According to the approved compensation, support, and resettlement plan, Mr. Tam's family received over 7.8 billion VND in compensation. Despite the compensation price differing from the market rate, the family agreed to hand over the land so that the project could be implemented soon.
On the morning of January 13th, Mr. Tâm arrived early at the Agribank branch in Đức Trọng, Lâm Đồng to receive his land clearance compensation. His application was processed and the payment was disbursed that same morning.
On the same day, the family of Mr. Tran Muoi, from An Binh village, Hiep Thanh commune, also came to receive compensation money.
Mr. Mười's family had approximately 4,700 square meters of coffee plantation land, spread across two plots, confiscated, with a total compensation value exceeding 5 billion VND. Despite the high market price of the land, Mr. Mười still agreed to hand over the land to facilitate the project.
The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Tan Hiep village, Hiep Thanh commune, also agreed with the decision to reclaim 600m² of rice paddy land and received over 800 million VND in compensation for land clearance.
Ms. Thanh argued that, despite certain disadvantages, land reclamation for projects serving the common good is necessary.
According to the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, 310 households in the commune are subject to land acquisition for the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway. To date, authorities have approved 274 cases with a total compensation budget of over 465 billion VND.
All 274 households whose land was expropriated for the expressway project in the commune will receive compensation between January 13th and 15th. After three days, 168 households have received a total compensation of over 331 billion VND.
During the payment process, authorities and local governments recorded 44 opinions from residents regarding policies, resettlement, land prices, road land, land outside the boundary, etc.
All feedback is recorded and reviewed. Cases that meet the criteria will be added. For the remaining cases, people will be informed and encouraged to understand the regulations.

Hiep Thanh is the first of the 10 communes and wards through which the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project passes to receive compensation for land clearance.
According to the plan, payments will be made simultaneously and continuously in the remaining localities immediately after Hiep Thanh.
In Duc Trong commune, 334 households have had their land confiscated for the project. The commune's People's Committee has approved the compensation plan for land clearance for all households, with a total budget of over 434 billion VND.
Currently, there is one outstanding complaint regarding the price of crops and structures, and approximately 25 other complaints related to land prices and compensation policies.

The Lam Dong Provincial Land Development Center is coordinating with the Duc Trong Commune People's Committee to hold dialogues and resolve complaints in accordance with regulations. It is expected that from January 18th, the local authorities will pay compensation to 298 households with a total budget of over 370 billion VND.
In Di Linh commune – the commune with the highest number of households affected by land expropriation in the project – land clearance work has also achieved many positive results. All 511 households have met the criteria for compensation approval, with a total budget of over 502 billion VND. Payment is expected to be made in January 2026.
Phase 1 of the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project is 73.6km long, with 4 lanes, 17m wide, and a maximum speed of 80km/hour, passing through 10 communes and wards in Lam Dong province.
The entire project involves 2,473 cases of land acquisition affecting 2,464 households; to date, plans have been approved for 2,347 cases, with a total budget of over 2,728 billion VND.
According to the head of the Provincial Land Development Center, the land clearance work has received high levels of support from the people.
Once payment is completed, the site will be promptly handed over to the investor for construction to commence.
At the highway progress review meeting on January 12th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested an acceleration of land clearance to ensure the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway has a clean site for construction.
In particular, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the relevant agencies to focus on land clearance in key locations where construction needs to begin soon.
Land clearance must be carried out quickly, synchronously, and seamlessly, contributing to the smooth progress of project construction.
The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project is one of the sections of the closed-loop Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway. The project is invested under the public-private partnership (PPP) method with a winning bid value of over 11,900 billion VND.
