On November 12, in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, the Lam Dong province Civil Defense Drill Steering Committee organized a commune-level civil defense drill in the province in 2025.

Attending the drill were comrades: Major General Tran Ngoc Minh, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7; Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7; Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong Province; Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Drill Steering Committee; and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and 124 communes, wards and special zones in the whole province.

In his opening speech, comrade Ho Van Muoi said that Lam Dong province after the merger has the largest natural area in the country, and has a strategic position in terms of national defense and security. In recent years, the locality has faced many types of natural disasters causing heavy losses in human lives and property.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Exercise Steering Committee Ho Van Muoi delivered the opening speech.

He emphasized that today's exercise is an important and practical activity to improve the capacity of leadership, direction, management, inspection and assessment of the response readiness of the provincial civil defense system. Training coordination and cooperation skills between military, police, medical , militia and self-defense forces and departments, branches, organizations and people in preventing and fighting natural disasters. At the same time, evaluating the effectiveness of response plans and practical capacity, helping the government and people improve skills and effectiveness in responding to natural disasters and incidents.

The exercise involved more than 500 people, along with 48 vehicles of various types such as canoes, boats, trucks, excavators, ambulances, fire trucks, unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. mobilized for the exercise.

With the topic "Commune-level Party Committees and authorities organize to overcome and handle natural disasters , search and rescue in the area, in which Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat is identified as the drill location"; the drill is divided into two phases, including drills on operating mechanisms and practice handling situations.

Hypothetical situation: Due to the impact of storm No. 12, there was heavy rain in Lam Dong province, especially in Tuyen Lam lake area in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, heavy rain caused landslides, tilted 3 houses, buried household items, traffic in residential areas was cut off, the optimal approach was to move by waterway. The head of the ward's civil defense command reported to the head of the provincial civil defense command, requesting support of response forces and means.

Handling situations during the rehearsal.

The content of the practice includes practicing rescue, rescuing people and property swept away by floods; evacuating people and property from isolated areas; improving the environment, organizing medical examination and treatment, distributing medicine to people, providing food and necessities, and stabilizing the lives of people in affected areas.

Leaders of Military Region 7 and Lam Dong province presented gifts to forces that successfully completed the exercise mission.

With the spirit of "proactive, coordinated, safe, effective", along with careful preparation and scientific organization, the exercise was a great success, meeting the set requirements.
