Clarifying information regarding the relocation of the political and administrative center of Tay Ninh province to the Duc Hoa area.

On January 17th, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province announced that the location for the provincial political and administrative center, as outlined in the revised planning for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, has yet to be determined.

A workshop to consult with experts and scientists on adjusting the Tay Ninh Provincial Planning was held on January 14th.

Accordingly, after the merger, based on the integration of the former planning of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces, the consulting unit proposed a draft plan to shape the new development space of Tay Ninh province based on the structure: "3 centers, 3 socio -economic regions, 6 corridors, 3 driving axes and 1 border belt".

In the "three centers" model, the political -administrative center plays a foundational role in the formation of a new central urban area, organically linked to the regional urban-industrial-service chain.

Alongside this, one "functional pole" will develop into a service-industrial center, focusing on high-tech industrial parks, digital technology, smart cities, and green logistics. The other functional pole will develop into a cultural-tourism center, promoting spiritual tourism, ecotourism, and border trade.

Currently, the contents of the Planning are still undergoing the process of gathering feedback from central ministries and agencies, scientists, neighboring localities, and the community to ensure consistency and comprehensiveness. Information circulating on social media about relocating the political and administrative center of Tay Ninh province to the Duc Hoa area is inaccurate.

Recently, at a consultation workshop with experts and scientists, there was a consensus that the new political and administrative center of the province must be carefully, objectively, and scientifically selected, taking into account international experience, ensuring full scientific justification, practical basis, and high feasibility.

Along with the 3-center model, Tay Ninh has identified 3 socio-economic zones divided in the East, West, and North directions, 6 economic corridors, 3 driving axes, and 1 border belt to help adjust the province's development space to suit its new potential and advantages, aiming at environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and ensuring national defense and security.
