QNgTV - Faced with the situation of students arbitrarily modifying electric bicycles, posing many potential traffic safety risks, the police in Dak Ui commune, Quang Ngai province, have increased patrols and monitored the situation in the area and promptly discovered a case of a student posting a video of their modified bicycle on social media.

Local police are working with the male student who modified an electric bicycle.

Authorities have identified the vehicle owner as a male student, born in 2012, residing in Dak Loi village, Dak Ui commune, Quang Ngai province.

Based on the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 and Government Decree 168, the Dak Ui Commune Police have disseminated information and reminded the child and their family about violations related to electric bicycles; requested them to sign a commitment not to repeat the offense and to restore the vehicle to its original design as per the manufacturer.

In the coming period, the police force will continue to coordinate with educational institutions to strengthen propaganda, inspection, and strict handling of violations in order to build a safe traffic environment in schools.
