
Accordingly, the Spring Book Park is an open cultural space built to foster and develop reading habits, needs, and skills within the community; at the same time, it contributes to promoting the reading culture movement, creating a beneficial and healthy playground for all segments of the population, especially young people, students, and university students during the spring season.
Taking place over 5 days (from February 5th to 9th, or from the 18th to 22nd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), the Spring Book Park space includes approximately 10 booths displaying, exhibiting, and selling books and stationery from participating units; a stage area for interaction and various decorative displays for locals and tourists to visit and experience.
The program will include a variety of activities such as: displaying books and newspapers on the economic , cultural, social, and tourism sectors of Can Tho city; organizing exhibition booths selling books, stationery, souvenirs, and Tet decorations in accordance with the law; organizing an "Author - Work" exchange program; a quiz program on "Traditional Tet of the Nation"; and introducing rare and valuable book collections from private collectors.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, organizing the Spring Book Park in 2026 contributes to creating a unique cultural highlight during the traditional Tet holiday, spreading the value of knowledge, improving the spiritual life of the people, and building the image of Can Tho City as a dynamic city rich in cultural identity.
