Male patient PTN (born in 1995, residing in Can Tho City) was transferred to Can Tho General Hospital by the front line in a state of abdominal distension, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea many times. The patient had a history of pancreatitis for many years, and was frequently hospitalized for treatment.

Abdominal CT scan with contrast showed a cystic lesion with multiple edges of the pancreas; diffuse thickening of the colon; multiple dilated loops of small intestine with fluid retention. The patient was transferred to the General Surgery Department for evaluation along with active medical treatment, general improvement, and nutritional support.
After consulting with many specialists, the team of doctors decided to perform drainage of the pancreatic pseudocyst using stent lams technique under the guidance of endoscopic ultrasound. When examining with Linear ultrasound probe, the doctor discovered an extremely large pancreatic pseudocyst (9x11cm).
Under the guidance of endoscopic ultrasound, the doctor uses a 19G aspiration needle. Next, a stent lams is inserted through the guide wire, positioned correctly to create a passage between the cyst and the stomach. When the stent opens, the fluid in the cyst flows out, lemon yellow; a part of the fluid is collected for testing.
As of December 9, the patient was awake, with pink skin and mucous membranes, stable vital signs, soft abdomen, no resistance to palpation, reduced abdominal pain... expected to be discharged in the next few days.
