These concrete and practical actions not only contribute to caring for the lives of people in difficult circumstances, thus effectively implementing the sustainable poverty reduction campaign initiated by the Party and the State, but also widely spread the spirit of "national unity" right from the grassroots level.

People-centered approach
In 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward will continue to identify the care and support of people in difficult circumstances as a key and continuous task, linked to promoting the central role of the Front in building national unity.
In particular, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has closely coordinated with the Ward People's Committee and relevant units to implement many large-scale social welfare support activities with diverse forms and target groups. A highlight is the program of giving gifts to 206 disadvantaged households, each gift consisting of 500,000 VND in cash and a gift bag, contributing to timely sharing of difficulties with people in the context of many pressures in life.
In addition, to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Day for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward organized a meeting and presented 75 gifts to Agent Orange victims in the area, with a total value of 39.6 million VND. This activity has profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the responsibility, gratitude, and long-term support of the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front towards those who have suffered great losses due to the war.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Hop, a victim of Agent Orange/dioxin in the ward, shared: “I am deeply moved to receive gifts from the Fatherland Front and other organizations in the ward. When implementing the two-tiered local government model, we all thought that the new government would need time to adapt, but we were very surprised when the Fatherland Front and other organizations in the ward quickly got involved, showing timely and thoughtful care for everyone from disadvantaged families to us, the victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.”
Sharing his thoughts on this work, Mr. Duong Minh Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward, emphasized: “Caring for people in difficult circumstances is not only a responsibility but also a measure of the effectiveness of the great national unity. Each gift and each support activity is implemented publicly, targeting the right beneficiaries, with the desire that no one will be left behind in the ward's development process.”
In parallel with direct support, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward also maintains and effectively promotes community movements such as "Green Weekend," general environmental sanitation, and urban beautification, thereby linking social welfare work with building a civilized and modern ward, improving the quality of life for people, especially vulnerable households.
Along with supporting the poor, the work of showing gratitude and respect to the families of soldiers is given special attention by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and its member organizations, implemented comprehensively, solemnly, and targeting the right beneficiaries.
To commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward directed the Women's Union, the Youth Union, and the Veterans Association of the ward to coordinate a series of activities to express gratitude, including a general cleaning of the martyrs' memorial area, offering incense in remembrance, and giving gifts to those who rendered meritorious services. The total socialized funding for this activity reached 15 million VND, with each gift package worth 300,000 VND.
In addition, ward organizations also coordinated to present gifts to 23 new recruits before they left for military service, demonstrating timely care and encouragement for the young people and their families before they fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland.
The ward's Veterans Association also continues to play an exemplary role in showing solidarity with fellow veterans, distributing hundreds of gifts to wounded soldiers and members affected by Agent Orange, organizing free medical examinations and providing free medicine for those who have rendered meritorious service, contributing to caring for the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiaries.
A steadfast pillar in humanitarian and charitable work.

As a core member organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Women's Union of Vinh Tuy Ward continues to affirm its pioneering and enduring role in humanitarian and charitable activities, supporting women and children in difficult circumstances. In 2025, the Union maintained the "Rice Jar for Hunger Relief" program, which has been running since 2019, donating 50kg of rice per month to needy households in the area. This is a small but sustainable model, demonstrating the consistent and long-term spirit of sharing among its female members.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year, the Women's Union of the ward organized the distribution of 82 gift packages to female officials and members in difficult circumstances, totaling 32.8 million VND, and also donated 50 warm jackets to underprivileged children with a budget of 25 million VND, contributing to helping families have a warmer Tet holiday.
Beyond focusing on support during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), the Women's Union of the ward also implements many regular and in-depth support activities. In 2025, the Union presented gifts and savings accounts to disadvantaged members, sponsored orphans, and supported children from near-poor households, thereby contributing to reducing the economic burden on families and creating conditions for women and children to improve their lives.
In particular, the "Charitable Porridge Kitchen" model maintained by the Association at Thanh Nhan Oncology Hospital and the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital continues to leave many positive impressions. Twice a week, the Association cooks and distributes more than 1,200 free bowls of porridge, delivering them directly to patients and their families in difficult circumstances. These hot bowls of porridge not only help patients alleviate difficulties in their daily lives but also serve as a great source of moral support during their treatment.
In addition, many women's associations in the area have proactively carried out "on-site" humanitarian work by collecting scrap materials to raise funds. From this small but meaningful fund, the associations have supported 14 members and their children in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 2.8 million VND, demonstrating the proactive, creative, and responsible spirit of the members at the grassroots level.
Ms. Du Thi Thu, President of the Women's Union of Vinh Tuy Ward, shared: "The humanitarian and charitable work of the Union is not just about giving gifts and providing immediate support, but also aims to create long-term spiritual support for disadvantaged women and children. Each female member is a nucleus spreading the spirit of compassion in the community."
Practical implementation shows that a highlight of the work to support people in difficult circumstances in Vinh Tuy is the close and synchronized coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations; between social mobilization and the effective use of resources; and between immediate support and long-term care. Through various movements and campaigns, many good models and innovative approaches have been formed, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party committees and government, and the core role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations.
Entering 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward has determined to continue promoting the "For the Poor" Fund, expanding social welfare programs, and striving for each residential area to have at least one exemplary project or activity, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people and building Vinh Tuy Ward into an increasingly civilized, modern, and compassionate place.
