Lieutenant Colonel Phan Hoai Quyet, Deputy Political Commissar of the 5th Division, said that bringing students of all levels to interact and experience firsthand at military units is considered a vivid, effective, and practical form of educating patriotism and national pride. Through these experiential activities, the students not only gain a better understanding of the heroic and indomitable fighting traditions of our army and people but also deeply appreciate the noble values of the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
Through our research, we learned that during this period, students participated in a program to offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and the memorial monument to the unit's heroic martyrs. This instilled in them the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," and gratitude towards beloved Uncle Ho and the outstanding sons and daughters of the nation who dedicated their lives to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. In addition, the students visited the 5th Division's Traditional House, which houses many valuable documents and images reflecting the unit's journey of building, fighting, and maturing. Besides the traditional education, the lively experiential activities organized within the unit's grounds focused on familiarizing students with the living and training environment of soldiers. This contributed to the formation of discipline, team spirit, perseverance, and essential qualities for their studies and lives.

Sharing her thoughts on the significance of the activity, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Van, Principal of the Practice Kindergarten (Tay Ninh), said: “Organizing experiential activities for students at units of the 5th Division has helped them access history and traditions in a visual and vivid way. This contributes to character education, fostering ideals, and instilling love for the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army. We are very happy and moved by the thoughtful reception and cooperation from the unit's Party committee and commanders in organizing these extremely meaningful activities.”
Through extracurricular activities and collaborative experiences between schools in the area and the 5th Division, the image of the Ho Chi Minh Army soldier continues to spread widely among the younger generation. This is not only an activity to celebrate major national and military holidays, but also an important content contributing to improving the quality of national defense and security education; building the trust, affection, and responsibility of young people, the future generation of the country, towards the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
