This is the third year that the annual human rights award “Happy Vietnam” has been held online on the Vietnam image promotion platform, Vietnam.vn, with the goal of encouraging all people in the country, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam using modern digital tools.

Entering its third season, the Awards continue to honor meaningful stories, vividly reflecting Vietnam's achievements in the field of human rights and inspiring the formation of "Vietnam Happy Fest 2025".

The Awards and Festival also aim to mobilize the strength of the people in the country, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends, together spreading the image of an Independent - Free - Happy Vietnam. In that spirit, the "Sharing Happiness" activity is organized to send resources and affection to people in flood-affected areas, providing timely support and adding hope to the community.

After three years of organization, the Award has gone beyond the framework of a traditional photo-video contest to become a national Award, attracting nearly 40,000 entries. Outstanding and typical works have been exhibited in many localities across the country: from Dien Bien Phu of the 70th anniversary of glorious victory, to Hanoi resplendent in the spirit of the 80th anniversary of National Day, from dynamic Hai Phong to vibrant and vibrant Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that the photo and video works are not only limited to the national scope but also introduced to international friends through exhibitions and cultural events in many countries around the world. At the same time, 97 Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad have also included these works in activities to promote the national image, contributing to strongly spreading the message of a peaceful, humane and unique Vietnam.

“Each work is a true slice of life, a beautiful moment recording the transformation of the country. All blend together to create a vivid picture of a happy, civilized, and unique Vietnam that is growing strongly on the journey of integration and development,” Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized.

After more than 4 months of launching, this year's Awards Organizing Committee has received 17,000 photo and video works - 1.7 times higher than in 2024. With a sense of responsibility and fairness, the Jury has selected 36 winning works in both photo and video categories, along with 150 photos and 29 typical videos to display at the exhibition. Including 2 Creative Awards, 2 Audience Choice Awards, 20 Encouragement Awards, 6 Third Prizes, 4 Second Prizes and 2 First Prizes.
