Inspiring a spirit of daring to think and daring to act.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, in recent years, closely following Decision No. 844 of the Prime Minister and Project 939, the Provincial Women's Union has transformed the spirit of entrepreneurship into a widespread "wave." The first highlight is the drastic innovation in propaganda work. No longer confined to written documents, information about entrepreneurship is now vividly conveyed through Zalo, Facebook, and television programs. As a result, more than 437,000 members have accessed knowledge about entrepreneurship. In particular, the "Women Entrepreneurs" section on Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television has become a place to tell real-life stories, inspiring a spirit of daring to think and act, helping women confidently realize their business ideas from the potential of their homeland.
During the period 2021-2025, in order to enhance capacity and create a foundation for women members to improve their knowledge and successfully start businesses, women's associations at all levels coordinated the organization of more than 1,100 training courses for tens of thousands of women on business startup, financial management skills, online sales, and the application of science and technology in production. These efforts have helped members shift their mindset from small-scale production to business-oriented development, enabling them to build brands and improve their competitiveness. Close cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology and other specialized units has also facilitated many products achieving VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and OCOP 3-4 star certifications, affirming their value in the market.
Besides training, the association has built a dynamic startup ecosystem through forums, idea competitions, and trade promotion activities. Out of 256 participating projects, 25 won awards and were highly rated for their practicality. Some typical models include: Japanese-technology dried persimmons, vegan cosmetics made from dragon fruit peel, and the Dalahouse project... To overcome the "bottleneck" of capital, the association at all levels not only mobilized internal resources to save 68.9 billion VND but also leveraged resources from international organizations and the state budget to support thousands of women in expanding their livelihoods, establishing 35 cooperatives and 70 cooperative groups, creating stable jobs for rural women workers.
Continue to innovate in your methods.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van, although significant achievements have been made in recent years, the women's entrepreneurship movement still faces numerous difficulties, challenges, and obstacles. These include uneven awareness of entrepreneurship, a segment of women still feeling hesitant, lacking confidence, and lacking management skills; many ideas are still small-scale and not highly competitive; investment networking activities are not strong; and some award-winning projects struggle to sustain themselves long-term due to a lack of market development strategies. These challenges require all levels of women's associations to continue innovating their approaches, strengthening inter-sectoral coordination, and aiming for more sustainable and professional support for women.
“To continue supporting women in innovative entrepreneurship, spreading values, and connecting for success, in the period 2025-2030, the Provincial Women's Union has identified the need to continue effectively implementing national target programs to support the development of value chains for cooperatives and businesses owned by women; and effectively implement Project 2415 “Supporting women's entrepreneurship in the period 2026-2035” approved by the Prime Minister. At the same time, it will focus on connecting resources from businesses and banks to form practical support platforms for women entrepreneurs. It will also continue to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to promote trade activities, support women's participation in e-commerce platforms; standardize production processes, build brand identities, and especially develop collective economic models owned by women along sustainable value chains,” said Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van.
