The whole tourism village joins hands to support

For nearly a week, tourism businesses in Lo village, Dak Lak province, have temporarily put aside their daily work to support people affected by floods. Heartwarming stories

Tung Le’s actions quickly spread, creating a strong movement of mutual support in the community. Many other families and individuals also actively participated in many different ways.

From free accommodation to relief coordination

The family of Mr. Dang Ngoc Thai Hoang, owner of the homestay "Mr. and Mrs. Tam", not only provided two rooms in the homestay but also arranged an empty house to serve as temporary shelter for many people. "My family was fortunate not to be affected by the flood, so we just want to contribute a little to support the people," said Mr. Hoang.

Meanwhile, Mr. Le Quy Tai, owner of the Sea Space homestay, in addition to providing accommodation for more than 10 volunteers, also acts as a coordinator. He actively connects information between relief teams and people in heavily affected areas, coordinating dozens of trucks carrying necessities every day. "We no longer care about business and business but focus all our efforts on supporting people," Mr. Tai shared.

Everyone contributes a hand

The spirit of mutual love is also demonstrated through the actions of Ms. Mai Chi, owner of an online bakery. She temporarily put her business aside to work as a tour guide, directing people to homestay shelters. In addition, she mobilized relatives to make hundreds of loaves of bread and donated more food and clothes to send to flooded areas.

Lo Village: A safe haven

Lo Village is located on a coastal strip of land, known as a famous tourist destination in Dak Lak (formerly Phu Yen ). This place impresses visitors with its peaceful space, red tiled roofs and ancient small paths. Although only about 5km from flood centers such as Dong Hoa and Hoa Thinh, the village was fortunately not affected by the recent historic floods, becoming a safe haven for many people.

Local authorities noted

Mr. Huynh Nguyen Ngoc Giang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Hiep Ward, said that people and businesses in Lo village were very quick to join in supporting neighboring areas. He highly appreciated practical actions such as providing food, using rescue boats and especially opening homestays to welcome people for free.

"The fact that many homestays have stopped operating and opened their doors to welcome people to stay for free is an act of mutual love and support, very much appreciated at this time," Mr. Giang shared.
