Recently, Lo Lo Chai village located at the foot of Lung Cu flagpole in Tuyen Quang province was selected by the United Nations Tourism Organization from more than 270 applications from 65 countries, recognized as "The best tourist village in the world".
Farmers who used to only know about their fields all year round have now become "tourism ambassadors" thanks to their bold application of digital transformation and creative models to promote Vietnamese culture and people to the world.
Ms. Kim Chi, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, started her journey of discovery in a very different way with just her mobile phone.
Information about accommodation, culture, cuisine , and local tours are all now digitalized. Everything appears clearly and vividly after just a few touches. Everything can be used online, booking can be done through the booking app, payment can be made using QR code transfer.

In Lo Lo Chai, digital technology is no longer a strange thing. Many households have become proficient in filming and promoting tourism, culture, cuisine as well as their family and village products and services on popular websites.
Accompanying the people in promoting local products and tourism is the village's Community Digital Technology Team - the core force that helps people access digital technology in a close and effective way.
After the media team instructed, the people in Lo Lo Chai knew how to use and promote the products on Facebook, Zalo, and Youtube. The promoted products helped to increase income and improve people's lives. Customers also found it convenient to scan the QR code.
Mr. Giang Mi Mua - Vice Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Committee, Tuyen Quang Province said: "After merging the two-level local government, Lung Cu Commune People's Committee directed the coding department to establish a community digital transformation team in 37/37 villages. Particularly, Lo Lo Chai village is a community tourism village that has contributed to helping people access and deploy technology applications in the process of tourism development".
Recognized by the United Nations Tourism Organization as the "World's Best Community Tourism Village", Lo Lo Chai has become even more attractive to tourists. Especially when the buckwheat flowers are in full bloom, competing to show off their colors all over the mountainsides of the Dong Van stone plateau.
