On the afternoon of May 21, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) said that the authorities had just discovered and seized 1.5 tons of processed chicken feet without documents proving their origin or food safety.

Specifically, on May 20, Market Management Team No. 6 (Market Management Department of Lang Son province) coordinated with the Economic Police Department (PC03) of Lang Son Provincial Police to inspect a truck with license plate 12A-109.30, driven by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Suu (residing in Cao Loc district, Lang Son province), carrying 1.5 tons of chicken feet packed in 100 pineapple sacks. The entire shipment had no labels, no information about origin, and no invoices or documents.
Market Management Team No. 6 has drawn up a record and temporarily detained the entire shipment for investigation and handling according to regulations. The representative of the functional force warned that this is a type of food that poses a great risk of food safety and hygiene if not strictly controlled.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development said that, implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 on the peak of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, in the coming time, the authorities will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly detect and prevent violations, contributing to protecting the health of consumers and the domestic market.
