Leaders of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented gifts at Tra Leng commune.

DNO - On the morning of November 14, the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Coast Guard Region 2 Command to visit and present gifts to households that suffered heavy losses in the recent floods in Tra Leng commune.

The working delegation led by Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung and Colonel Le Huy, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, visited Tra Leng commune.

According to preliminary statistics, the recent flood caused heavy damage in the commune, killing 1 person, collapsing 15 houses, and damaging 39 houses and 2 schools.

Many traffic routes were damaged and cut off; especially the routes to villages 3 and 7, which have yet to be repaired. Total damage is estimated at more than 70 billion VND.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung deeply sympathized with the losses and damages of the people of Tra Leng commune; affirmed that the city government always cares and strives to mobilize all resources to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

On this occasion, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung presented 30 gifts to households that suffered heavy damage due to floods and 7 gifts to village elders and prestigious people in the commune.

Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented 50 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the commune.

Previously, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung visited and presented gifts to encourage officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My, who are supporting the recovery of flood consequences at Tra Leng 2 Ethnic Boarding Secondary School.

During the recent flood, the Leng River embankment in the school area was severely eroded, causing serious insecurity.

Faced with this emergency situation, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My promptly mobilized local support forces to reinforce the embankment, thereby temporarily protecting the safety of the school.
