Honoring those who spread knowledge in the border areas of the Fatherland

This year,   The program will honor outstanding teachers who are directly teaching at all levels in the general education system in 248 communes, wards, and special zones with land borders, and Border Guard officers and soldiers working to eliminate illiteracy in their assigned areas.

After more than 02 months of implementation since July 30, 2025, the Program Organizing Committee has received 263 profiles of exemplary teachers from 22 provinces, cities and the Border Guard. On October 15, 2025, the Selection Council met and agreed on a list of 80 outstanding teachers to attend the program "Sharing with teachers" in 2025 in Hanoi, including: 36 teachers, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard who are ethnic minorities.

Teaching   The oldest teacher: Ms. Tran Thi Thao (born in 1969), working at Dao San Primary Boarding School, Dao San Commune, Lai Chau Province (working time 23 years). The youngest teacher: Ms. Vuong Thi Tuoi (born in 1997), working at Ban Diu Primary Boarding School, Xin Man Commune, Tuyen Quang Province (working time 5 years).

Deputy Minister Le Quan said that currently, the Ministry   Education and Training   is implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam and the Government on developing a system of boarding schools in border areas. According to actual needs, the Ministry will review and gradually expand the network of schools to meet practical requirements. The Ministry is also urgently completing the system of guiding documents, ensuring the progress and quality of implementation.

Along with investment in facilities, issues related to teaching staff, operating costs and boarding and semi-boarding policies for students in disadvantaged areas are also being studied synchronously. In the long term, the boarding school system in border areas will play an important role in implementing the new general education program, developing quality human resources, career orientation, discovering and nurturing talents, and creating a source of cadres for the locality, Deputy Minister Le Quan emphasized.
