Da Nang City leaders visit and congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20

DNO - On November 18, leaders of Da Nang city visited and congratulated units and schools on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025).

* On the morning of November 18, Danang University celebrated the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day. Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan attended and presented flowers of congratulations.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Danang University, said that after 43 years, November 20 has always been a special event, a big festival not only for the education sector, teachers and students, but also a festival of the heart, of the tradition of studiousness, respect for teachers, and gratitude.

In recent times, Danang University has achieved many positive results, the rate of lecturers with doctoral degrees or higher reached nearly 51%; 2 more professors and 24 candidates were recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards of associate professors.

Recently, Danang University was selected by the Central Government as one of the top four universities to prioritize key investment, serving as a model for Vietnam's higher education system.

According to the Director of Danang University, entering a new development stage in the new context, "self-innovation" in each cadre and lecturer has a decisive meaning for the development of Danang University in particular and the success of educational innovation in general.

At the ceremony, 2 groups and 3 individuals were honored to receive certificates of merit from the Prime Minister for their many achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Danang University Office received the emulation flag and 8 groups received certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training.

Visiting Hong Nhung Kindergarten (Thanh Khe Ward), Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung sent his congratulations and acknowledged the efforts of the school's staff, teachers and workers in creating a safe, friendly and exploratory pedagogical environment, placing children at the center of the educational process.

The city leaders believe that with its long history of achievements, in the coming time, the school's staff and teachers will continue to promote their strengths, build a comprehensive educational environment, and help children develop intellectually, emotionally and in skills right from the first years of life.

Hong Nhung Kindergarten was established in 1996. The school currently has 20 classes with more than 570 children, along with 82 staff members, teachers and employees.

Visiting the Italian-Vietnamese College, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung acknowledged and praised the school for proactively innovating teaching methods, focusing on combining cultural and vocational training for students, linking training with social needs; especially in the tourism and service sectors, key areas in the development strategy of Da Nang city.

The Italian-Vietnamese College was established in 2015. The school currently has 3 campuses, 52 staff and lecturers with nearly 2,500 students.

Visiting the Danang Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education (Hoa Khanh Ward), Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung highly appreciated the dedication of the teaching staff here.

Despite facing many difficulties, with their love for children, the team of cadres, teachers and employees always maintain their enthusiasm, helping disabled children integrate, develop and confidently rise up.

The Danang Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education (formerly Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for the Blind) was established in 1992. The Center currently educates more than 250 students from preschool to high school, boarding and semi-boarding.

In addition, the Center also supports inclusive education for students with disabilities in the city and the Central provinces.

Visiting and congratulating Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted (Ban Thach Ward), Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung acknowledged and commended the school's outstanding achievements in teaching and nurturing excellent students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted is the leading unit of Quang Nam province (old) in national excellent student competitions, especially with 2 students winning Gold Medals at the International Mathematics Competition in Turkmenistan.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 5 classes with 516 students in 3 high school blocks; 57 officials, civil servants, public employees and workers, including 34 teachers and 21 staff.

Compared to actual needs, the school still lacks 1 medical staff and 2 catering staff to ensure health care, mental health and food quality control for students staying long term.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan sent his congratulations to the school's staff, teachers and employees; and acknowledged the school's efforts in maintaining a stable student residence rate and ensuring good living and accommodation conditions for students in the highlands. The school has had outstanding achievements, especially the high graduation rate and achievements in provincial-level excellent student competitions, Science and Technology competitions and many other awards.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that from this school, students will be equipped with knowledge and skills to grow up and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality; at the same time, preserve and promote the traditional cultural identity of the highlands.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan surveyed the current state of some degraded items in the classrooms and dormitories of Quang Nam Ethnic Boarding High School; inspected the accommodation facilities, food sources and nutritional regime in each meal of students who are children of ethnic minorities.

* On the same day, the People's Committee of Phu Ninh commune held a ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and to commend and reward the 2024-2025 school year.

Over the years, many generations of teachers in the communes of Tam Dai, Tam Dan, Tam Lanh (old), now Phu Ninh commune, have made constant efforts, overcome all difficulties, and strived to compete in teaching and learning well. The investment in infrastructure and development of school network planning has always focused on building and improving the quality of teachers and educational management staff. Up to now, 3/8 schools have met national standards at level 2. The rate of students completing primary school is 100%; graduating from junior high school is 99% and graduating from high school is 100%...

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phu Ninh commune commended and rewarded teachers with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.
