In Gia Dinh ward, comrade Nguyen Phuoc emphasized the need to make comprehensive preparations for the ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. In particular, preparing to direct the ward Party Congress must be closely linked with directing the ward Fatherland Front Congress, so it is necessary to ensure unity, connection, synchronization, and comprehensiveness of the Party's leadership role.
According to comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, one of the important requirements is to develop draft documents for the Party Congress and documents for the Fatherland Front that are interconnected at many different levels, but must take the people as the subject, the center, and the driving force to decide all goals and tasks. The development of documents also needs to be based on planning, population data, and local development practices; reflecting the growth rate and level of people's participation.
The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee requested the ward to urgently review and complete the arrangement and assignment of cadres. At the same time, promote the role of volunteer forces, non-professional cadres, fire prevention and fighting forces and grassroots security and order; consider this as the core force to deploy sudden and urgent tasks in the locality.
Along with that, it is necessary to pay attention to mobilizing volunteers to strengthen the Public Administration Service Centers, and mobilize people to implement the program "Digital Education for All".
According to comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Gia Dinh ward with its own unique characteristics. Especially having a team of female leaders taking on the role of head of the Party Committee, government and Fatherland Front, will be a bright spot expected to contribute positively to the overall success of the city.
Gia Dinh Ward was established from Wards 1, 2, 7, 17; has 62 neighborhoods, with an area of about 2.76km2 , population of 125,946 people.
Previously, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, also surveyed Cho Lon ward and Saigon ward on the work of building great national unity.
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized the requirements in the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of each locality to ensure comprehensive coverage; at the same time, building the great national unity bloc in the area.
He assessed that although it has only been in operation for more than 2 weeks, the Standing Committee and Party Committees of the wards have led and are ready to take on tasks and meet requirements; quickly stabilize and continue to improve and enhance the quality of service to the people. He also requested that localities take Party building as the foundation, link with government management and closely link with the great national unity bloc.
Regarding the preparation for the congress, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc noted that the wards should pay attention to directing the preparation for the congress, in which the cadre work must be strict; prepare documents based on planning work and population data to propose resolutions that are close to reality, concise, easy to remember, and easy to organize and implement. From the documents, people must understand that the Party Committee always aims for the goal of security - safety - people's safety.
At the same time, thoroughly study the contents of Party building to implement all other tasks. The Standing Committee and Party Committees of localities also need to focus on organizing and directing the Party Congress of the ward in conjunction with directing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of the ward; perfecting and consolidating the team doing front work and closely and comprehensively doing socio- political work.
Sai Gon Ward was established on the basis of merging the entire area of Ben Nghe Ward with the areas belonging to Quarters 5, 6, 8, part of Quarters 4 and 10 of Da Kao Ward, the entire area of Quarter 1 belonging to Nguyen Thai Binh Ward. The ward has an area of 3.038 km2 , population of 47,022 people.
Cho Lon Ward is a merged ward from wards 11, 12, 13, 14, with an area of about 1.6km2 and 85,000 people.
