Speaking at the festival, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan emphasized that the National Great Unity Day is an opportunity for Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and people to meet, listen, share, and together foster great unity, create social consensus, and contribute to building a cultured, civilized and modern capital.

According to the report of the Ma Kieu Village Front Committee, in 2025, the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" continued to be widely implemented, bringing practical results. The people in the village unanimously and actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to creating a new look for the locality, the roads were renovated to be bright - green - clean - beautiful - blooming; the residential area had no poor households; 96% of households achieved the title of Cultural Family.

In particular, in 2025, the village inaugurated 3 sports and recreation areas, a mini soccer field, renovated and upgraded the village well, purchased equipment for community service, with a total socialized budget of nearly 3.6 billion VND and more than 1,000 working days. In addition, Ong Temple Relic - a spiritual and cultural activity site of the community continued to be embellished and repaired with a capital contribution of over 1.2 billion VND, demonstrating the spirit of "the state and the people working together".

Ma Kieu village - a famous homeland with a rich tradition of making Chuong conical hats - is also effectively exploiting the potential of village tourism , contributing to creating more jobs and increasing income for people, with an average of 79 million VND/person/year.

Along with economic development, the cultural and sports movement in Ma Kieu is vibrant, becoming a beautiful feature that unites the community; education promotion work is focused on; the environment is guaranteed, and the mass organizations maintain the model of "self-managed routes". The results achieved are clear evidence of the spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the people of Ma Kieu in building their homeland.

On this occasion, Hanoi city and Thanh Oai commune presented electric motorbikes and 12 gifts to near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances; at the same time, commended and rewarded 6 collectives and 10 outstanding individuals in the emulation movements in 2025.
