VFF leaders encourage the Vietnamese team before their away match against Laos

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that on November 12 in Viet Tri (Phu Tho), VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan had a meeting to encourage the Vietnamese team, before the away match against Laos in the second leg of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

At the meeting, Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan praised the spirit and efforts of the players during the recent intense competition period in V.League, and acknowledged the professionalism of the entire team in maintaining stable physical strength and form to quickly integrate with the national team.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan also sent his congratulations to striker Nguyen Xuan Son for his complete recovery after a long period of injury treatment and his readiness to return to contribute to the national team.

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that the team needs to maintain the highest concentration and determination in the remaining matches of the qualifying round, holding on to the opportunity until the end in the race for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup Finals.

The VFF President expressed his belief that the Vietnamese national team will continue to affirm its position in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, starting with the away match against Laos on November 19.

According to Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, the matches are not only meaningful in terms of achievements but also an important opportunity to improve the position on the FIFA rankings, thereby enhancing the team's brand and creating advantages in the group drawing ceremonies at official international tournaments.

On behalf of the coaching staff and the entire team, head coach Kim Sang-sik would like to express his deep gratitude to President Tran Quoc Tuan for always caring for and standing side by side with the team in every stage.

Coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed that the Vietnamese team always takes the field with the sole goal of winning.

“The upcoming match against Laos is the last match in 2025, we will try our best to bring complete joy to the fans,” coach Kim Sang-sik expressed.

For his part, captain Do Duy Manh, on behalf of the players, expressed great determination. He said: “Although each player has different roles and responsibilities, we all have the same goal of building a united team, overcoming difficulties and responding to the trust and love of the fans.”

On the afternoon of November 12, the Vietnamese team continued their training session at Viet Tri Stadium, aiming to complete tactical preparations before moving to Laos on November 15.
