The Quang Ninh Ethnic Minority Women's Football Tournament 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province in coordination with the Ethnic Language Television Department - VTV5 (Vietnam Television). The tournament takes place from December 3-7 in Binh Lieu commune - a place famous for ethnic girls playing football.
The tournament consists of 8 women's teams, including 6 teams from Quang Ninh and 2 teams from Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang. The teams compete in the 7-a-side women's football format, divided into groups and play a round-robin to score points before entering the knockout and final rounds. The female players participating in the competition are ethnic minorities: San Chi, Dao Thanh Y, Dao Thanh Phan, San Diu, Tay... competing in their traditional ethnic costumes.
After 3 matches, the Lam Thuong women's football team of Lao Cai province finished second in Group A, defeated Hoa An team (Tuyen Quang) in the Quarterfinals, and met Mong Duong team ( Quang Ninh ) in the Finals. With a score of 4-1, Lam Thuong team excellently won the championship of the tournament.
In addition to the championship title, Lam Thuong commune women's football team also won 4 secondary prizes:
The Sports Family Award was given to mother and daughter pair Nong Thi Yeu and Nong Thi Phuong.
The best player award was given to player Hoang Thi Huyen.
The best goalkeeper award was given to Nong Thi Phuong
The beauty queen of the award was awarded to player Hoang Phuong Thuy.
