Lao Cai supports 50 livelihood models for poor women

Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union in collaboration with Samaritan's Purse in Vietnam (SP) organized a grant of livelihood model support to 50 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged women's union member families in Phinh Ho and Tram Tau communes.

Within the framework of the program to support the livelihood creation model of cows and breeding chickens under the "Sustainable Community Development" Project for the period 2024 - 2025, sponsored by SP Organization, 50 households in Phinh Ho commune and Tram Tau commune received 45 pairs of mother cows and calves, 5 bulls, 2,000 breeding chickens in the reproductive stage and 10,000 kg of chicken feed.

Ms. Ha Thi Doa, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, presented support to households.

The project was implemented synchronously from the training stage to improve livestock knowledge for people, providing grass seeds, animal feed to supporting the construction of barns. This is one of the practical activities to improve the economic life of poor households in the two communes of Phinh Ho and Tram Tau.

The comprehensive livelihood model not only helps households increase their income and improve their living conditions, but also contributes to promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and new rural construction.

This is one of the practical tasks of the Provincial Women's Union to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress, the 2025-2030 term Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations at all levels.
