
Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; the Department of Home Affairs; representatives of the leaders of the member departments of the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women; representatives of the wards of Van Phu, Au Lau, Yen Bai and nearly 200 delegates from political and social organizations and people in Van Phu ward.
In recent years, the work for the advancement of women in Lao Cai province has achieved many results: the percentage of women participating in the Provincial Party Executive Committee is 17%, the Provincial People's Council is 35%, 50% of female National Assembly delegates...; the average annual rate of female workers receiving vocational training is over 65%, the number of jobs created is nearly 43%; the percentage of female party members accounts for 39% of the total number of party members in the province...
In all fields, the role and position of women are enhanced, contributing significantly to sustainable socio -economic development in the province.

At the launching ceremony, delegates and many people watched the media skit "I will change", performed by the Women's Union of Van Phu ward.
The skit talks about preventing domestic violence and gender equality; sharing, responsibility and love in each family.

The launching ceremony also spent most of its time communicating and interacting with delegates about gender equality with the theme “Safety for women and girls in cyberspace”. Thereby, it aimed to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities and the whole society in implementing the goal of gender equality, for the safety and happiness of women and girls in the digital age.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, the leader of the Department of Home Affairs requested that departments, branches, sectors, organizations and localities pay attention to implementing the goals and tasks in the province's plan on implementing the National Strategy on Gender Equality and the Program on Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence, period 2021 - 2030; strengthen education on knowledge, safety skills, protection skills, prevention of violence and abuse for women and children and the community.

Actively implement measures to reduce and eventually end violence and abuse against women and children; promote prevention, detection, containment and timely handling of violence and abuse against women and children, especially violence occurring in schools, families and social networks; continue to take practical actions and activities to join hands in building a safe, equal, progressive and happy environment for women and children.
