Twenty-four vocational training programs at the intermediate level have been licensed, basically meeting the human resource needs for socio-economic development.

Over the past period, the Department of Education and Training has proactively performed its state management function, guiding vocational education institutions to implement the list of training fields and occupations in accordance with the Law on Vocational Education and its guiding circulars. Specifically, the Department regularly conducts periodic reviews of the training lists of colleges and vocational schools; promptly guiding adjustments or temporarily suspending enrollment for fields and occupations that are no longer relevant to the needs of the labor market. At the same time, the Department focuses on standardizing registration procedures, adding training fields and occupations; organizing training, updating training programs, and strengthening inspection and supervision in conjunction with the accreditation of vocational education quality.

Currently, the network of vocational education institutions in the province comprises 6 units, including 3 colleges (2 public, 1 private) and 3 vocational schools (2 public, 1 private). These vocational education institutions operate in various fields such as industry and construction , agriculture and forestry, services and tourism, and healthcare, basically meeting the needs for training human resources to directly serve the socio-economic development of the province and the region.

At the intermediate level, 24 vocational training programs are licensed. These programs primarily focus on tourism, services, and languages (hotel management, tour guiding, culinary arts, Japanese, Chinese, beauty care, etc.); engineering and technology (automotive technology, industrial electricity, welding, information technology, e-commerce, etc.); and agriculture, production, and construction (animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, fashion design, construction engineering, etc.). Many programs are directly linked to the workforce needs of industrial zones, tourist areas, and concentrated agricultural production regions.

Overall, the assessment shows that the management of training programs and occupations has been implemented synchronously and in accordance with regulations; the basic training programs and occupations closely follow the socio-economic development orientation of the province, contributing to the supply of human resources for businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities. The employment rate of trainees after graduation in many fields and occupations is quite high, especially in technical and service sectors related to tourism and production.

However, vocational training still faces some challenges, such as: limited enrollment in some fields; a high percentage of students working in fields unrelated to their training; and inadequate facilities, equipment, and teaching staff in some high-tech fields.

In the coming period, the Department of Education and Training will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen the review and adjustment of the list of training majors and professions to be more practical, in line with the needs of the labor market and the socio-economic development orientation of the province. At the same time, it will strengthen inspection and supervision, improve the quality of the teaching staff, invest in facilities and equipment for vocational training; and strengthen links with businesses to improve training effectiveness, contributing to increasing the employment rate of students after graduation.
