Cruise ship capsizes in Ha Long Bay, many forces join the rescue

On the afternoon of July 19, information from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province said that in the early afternoon of the same day, near Dau Go cave, Ha Long Bay, a tourist boat sank.

Specifically, the tourist boat numbered QN-7105 with 5 crew members carrying many tourists was visiting Ha Long Bay when it suddenly encountered a storm.

Immediately after receiving the information, Quang Ninh provincial authorities urgently deployed rescue work.

Quang Ninh provincial leaders directly directed search and rescue work.

Accordingly, the Border Guard of Quang Ninh province directed the Border Guard Station of Hon Gai Port to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (Quang Ninh Provincial Police) to mobilize vehicles to quickly approach the scene for search and rescue.

Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc An was present at the scene to direct rescue work and ensure safety for tourists and crew members.

At 5:00 p.m. the same day, information from the rescue force said that they had rescued 10 people, but had not yet been able to contact the ship owner.

Search and rescue work is currently underway.
