Consulting nearly 700 households affected by Ring Road 4 Project - Ho Chi Minh City

(DN) - On the morning of November 12, at Trang Bom commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province coordinated with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to organize a conference to collect opinions from the community on Component Project 1-2 of the Investment Project to build Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City in Dong Nai province.

The conference was attended by nearly 700 affected households from three communes: Trang Bom, Binh Minh and Hung Thinh.

At the conference, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board informed some basic contents of the project such as policies, legality, investment, construction, land, waste treatment and environmental protection; compensation policy, site clearance and resettlement plan.

Accordingly, Component Project 1 - 2 is invested in the form of public investment, including compensation, resettlement support; construction of service roads, side roads; relocation of technical infrastructure, construction of technical infrastructure of resettlement areas with a total investment of more than 10 trillion VND.

The project has a total length of more than 46km, with an expected clearance area of ​​more than 425ha in the communes of Xuan Duong, Xuan Que, Binh An, Dau Giay, An Vien, Hung Thinh, Trang Bom, Binh Minh, and Tan An. The total length of the road passing through the three communes of Hung Thinh, Trang Bom, and Binh Minh is nearly 19km, with nearly 700 households affected.

The conference recorded 25 opinions from households, most of whom expressed agreement with the policy of implementing this project, hoping that the project would be implemented as planned to contribute to socio- economic development, creating conditions to improve people's quality of life.

In addition, the households also requested the relevant authorities to provide specific information: Time for compensation and site clearance; conditions for resettlement support for people; location and area of ​​land to be resettled. People also want the compensation policy to be close to reality, want to be resettled near their old place of residence; resettlement accommodation must be available before the land is handed over so they do not have to rent a house; the new accommodation must be equal to or better than the old place of residence.

The opinions of the households have been answered by representatives of the provincial authorities, basically meeting the people's wishes.
