The 3rd Hello Vietnam Festival will start with a series of cultural exchange activities and multi-disciplinary seminars in Ho Chi Minh City, then take place in the two cities of Nha Trang ( Khanh Hoa ) and Da Lat (Lam Dong) from August 25 to 31.
The activity was jointly organized by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam - India Friendship Association.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City Madan Mohan Sethi said that the Hello Vietnam Festival 2024 aims to connect people of the two countries, promoting understanding of the culture, identity and people of Vietnam and India.
Mr Sethi said the event started as a small idea with cultural networking, and has now expanded its scope, with exchanges between businesses and experts in many fields including business, tourism,education , railways, and cinema.
“Over the past four years, more than 2,000 Indian companies from over 30 business associations have visited Vietnam. Indian companies are also participating in international exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City, thereby encouraging businesses to make investment decisions,” Mr. Sethi informed.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Lap, Chairman of the Vietnam – India Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City, said that Ho Chi Minh City is a place that India often chooses to organize special cultural festivals, of which the “Hello Vietnam” Festival has become familiar to the people of Ho Chi Minh City. The events at the festival help increase the understanding of the public in Vietnam about the culture, people and country of India.
Another highlight of this year’s event is the co-production of the film Love in Vietnam . The film, through portraying the love between an Indian actor and a Vietnamese actress, features many scenes shot at locations in Vietnam, with stories about Vietnamese culture, cuisine and people that can be introduced to the people of India and internationally.
The festival brings together speakers who are experts in many fields, and invited guests who are famous filmmakers and artists in India and Vietnam. Throughout the festival are meaningful cooperative activities, contributing to promoting the relationship between the two countries to celebrate 52 years of India-Vietnam diplomacy.
