Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement between Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee and University of Commerce

The Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province advised the People's Committee of Cao Bang province to organize the Signing Ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the People's Committee of Cao Bang province and the University of Commerce. The signing ceremony took place on the afternoon of September 29. Attending the Signing Ceremony were comrades: Le Hai Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and experts from the professional departments of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Science and Technology. On the side of the University of Commerce, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang, Rector of the University of Commerce, was the head of the delegation.

At the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang, Principal of the University of Commerce, reported on the potential and strengths of the school. The school is one of the leading training institutions in Vietnam on economic management with a team of nearly 800 staff and lecturers, of which more than 50% have PhD, professor and associate professor degrees. The training scale is over 24,000 students and trainees. With Cao Bang being a land rich in revolutionary traditions and with great development potential, the school wishes to cooperate and commit to accompany the province in implementing human resource training tasks, promoting science and technology and innovation; cooperating in implementing research projects, policy consulting, aiming to make Cao Bang a bright spot in the country in terms of happiness index and sustainable development...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang, Principal of the University of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa provided an overview of the socio-economic development situation, potentials, advantages, difficulties and limitations of the locality. He hoped that through the cooperation program with the University of Commerce, the potential of each side would be reasonably exploited to solve theoretical and practical problems in areas such as: Training, fostering, scientific research, transfer of technological research results and cooperation in other areas... in which, emphasizing the content of cooperation to promote scientific research, technology application, digital transformation and innovation. The focus is on promoting the training of qualified, high-quality human resources for effective public management; reviewing the level of digital transformation of officials and civil servants, assessing the digital economic and social architecture; implementing scientific research activities, supporting the application and transfer of appropriate technology, focusing on the fields of trade and high-tech application services; supporting linkages to create output for agricultural and forestry products...

At the Signing Ceremony, Comrade Nong Thi Thanh Huyen, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province, presented a report proposing the content of the signing of the cooperation agreement between the People's Committee of Cao Bang province and the University of Commerce. The agreement stated two main contents, including: Training, fostering, developing human resources, scientific and technological activities and serving the community.

After discussion, the two sides agreed to focus on coordinating the organization of short-term and long-term training courses or refresher courses and career guidance to improve high-quality human resources for the province on topics related to economic management, business administration, start-ups and innovation; e-commerce; digital economy, green economy, circular economy, border trade economy, tourism services, finance and banking, accounting, auditing, business administration, human resource management, international trade, logistics, supply chain... and other suitable fields. Organize programs to improve vocational skills and soft skills for students of the University of Commerce through practice at agencies and units of the province. Coordinate the organization of training courses and specialized training for provincial enterprises...

Coordinate the implementation of scientific, technological and innovative tasks as ordered by the state and the province; pay attention to research and development of trade and high-tech application services, research solutions to promote the application of science and technology; participate in consulting on socio-economic development topics, trade and services of the province; apply digital technology in trade; develop innovative business models for OCOP products, specialties, tourism; connect supply - demand and link the value chain to develop trade and services of the province; link businesses - schools - authorities to form an innovation network; connect, cooperate, deploy, organize the transfer of scientific and technological research results that the University owns and cooperate with scientists and international organizations to transfer new technologies that agencies, cooperatives, and businesses in the province need; Cooperate with domestic and foreign units to research international markets for key commodities, agricultural exports and economic development, as well as other strengths of the province...

On this occasion, the University of Commerce presented the province with the Digital Project "Living Digitally in Cao Bang - Knocking on the Door of Happiness".
