Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam Ishikawa Isamu congratulated the 96 students and reaffirmed the philosophy of AEON Group: pursuing a peaceful society, respecting people and developing for the community. He emphasized that the AEON 1% Fund is a typical example of that sustainable commitment.

“The AEON scholarship helped me overcome financial pressure and have more confidence in my own abilities. Thanks to that, I continued to study for an MBA at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, along with speaking and mentoring activities for students. The scholarship is not only a source of material support – it is the belief and responsibility for me to strive to become a useful person for the community,” Ms. Nhien shared.

The consistent values that the program builds – humanity, sharing and dedication – are clearly demonstrated by many generations of AEON students in their career development journey after graduation.

Tuan Minh's sharing is considered a representative voice of the common aspiration of many students - to study to contribute, to strive to become a kind and useful person for the community.

The “AEON Scholarship” is part of a program to strengthen friendly relations between Asian countries through scholarships for students. The program has been implemented annually since 2006 with the desire to support students in pursuing their dreams, becoming leaders in their chosen fields and serving as a bridge of friendship between Japan and countries in the region.

By the end of 2024, the program had awarded scholarships to students from 7 countries: Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, China and Japan. In Vietnam, the AEON 1% Club Foundation has awarded a total of 1,437 scholarships to outstanding students in Hanoi (since 2012) and Ho Chi Minh City (since 2011).

20 years is an important milestone, affirming the sustainability of the philosophy of serving society that AEON Group pursues. And today's outstanding students are the next generation, carrying the mission of spreading that humanitarian spirit in the community - in their own homeland and in the international environment.
