The activity was organized within the framework of the project “Promoting the development of sustainable agroforestry and green tourism livelihood models from community forest environmental service revenue in Ngoc Chien commune, Son La province” funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Fund's Small Grants Program (GEF SGP), contributing to supporting livelihood development associated with forest resource protection and sustainable tourism development in the locality.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates and local people participated in planting 271 cherry blossom trees along the field road from Luot village to Muong Chien village; and supported the planting of 10,000 cardamom plants in Nam Nghep village. This activity contributed to creating a green landscape, raising awareness of forest protection, and building an environmentally friendly tourism space in the locality.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 backpacks, 50 baseball caps, 50 t-shirts, and 500 notebooks to underprivileged students at Ngoc Chien Secondary School.
