This event is not only the result of careful preparation but also demonstrates strong commitment from both sides. Previously, on November 3, 2025, in Hanoi , Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Merchants Group, paving the way for the launch of this joint venture.
At the ceremony, representatives of VOSA and Sinotrans Container Lines Co., Ltd emphasized the orientation of building the joint venture into a business with outstanding competitiveness, operating according to international standards but with a deep understanding of the domestic market. Leaders of both sides affirmed that the joint venture will inherit the experience, reputation and existing network, while focusing on innovation in management, application of technology and development of value-added services in the logistics chain.
The combination of Sinotrans’ extensive international container shipping network and VOSA’s extensive experience and market understanding in the maritime and logistics services sector is expected to bring differentiated value to customers, while improving operational efficiency in the Vietnamese market. The new joint venture is also seen as a driving force for the development of the container shipping and logistics industry in a period of increasingly fierce competition and the trend of deepening supply chain globalization.
The establishment of Sinotrans Container Lines Vietnam Co., Ltd. affirms the determination of the two partners in expanding their presence in the Vietnamese market, while contributing to deepening the economic and maritime cooperation relationship between Vietnam and China, towards the goal of sustainable development, modernization and international integration.
