Flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games: Proud and determined

During the biggest sports festival in Southeast Asia, the host country Thailand held a solemn flag-raising ceremony for the participating delegations. The Vietnamese Sports Delegation, under the leadership of Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh, including officials and athletes of the national swimming team, attended the flag-raising ceremony near the end, before the host country.

18-year-old swimmer Trinh Truong Vinh shared: “This is the first time I have attended the flag-raising ceremony, I feel very honored and proud. This moment further strengthens my determination to compete well, contributing with my teammates to make Vietnamese sports shine at the SEA Games."

For the troops stationed in Chonburi, the second flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 11 at Wyndham Jomtien.

Not only is it a ceremony marking the presence of each delegation, the 33rd SEA Games Flag Raising Ceremony also carries a profound message about the spirit of solidarity, friendship and the aspiration to build a peaceful , stable and sustainable ASEAN community. The majestic music resounds with the flying flags of Southeast Asian countries, a vivid symbol of the spirit of "One Vision - One Identity - One Community".

Since the first SEA Games, the Games have not only been a sporting competition but also a forum for connecting nations. The flag-raising ceremony is therefore both a source of pride and a reminder of the responsibility to join hands in fostering peace, mutual understanding and sustainable development. This is also the consistent spirit of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, towards a cohesive, inclusive region that respects cultural diversity and promotes humanitarian cooperation.
