The Philippine volleyball team has made significant progress in recent times thanks to good investment. In the first round, this team created many difficulties for both the Thai and Vietnamese teams and had an impressive victory over Indonesia. Therefore, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates must not be subjective because if they stumble against this opponent, their chance of winning the championship will be gone.

In the second leg, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team still relies on its mainstays including Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, and Nguyen Khanh Dang. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet also strengthened the attack by naming spiker Nguyen Thi Phuong as the main attacker.
