At SEA Games 33, U22 Vietnam is in group B with U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos.

According to the adjusted schedule, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will play the opening match against U22 Laos on December 3, before facing U22 Malaysia on December 11, at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).

U22 Vietnam arrives in Bangkok, ready for SEA Games 33
Previously, due to the serious impact of flooding in Songkhla province (Thailand), the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee was forced to move the entire Group B men's football event to the capital Bangkok.
According to the initially announced schedule, U22 Vietnam will meet Laos on December 4 and Malaysia on December 11 at Tinsulanon Stadium (Songkhla).
However, prolonged heavy rains caused severe damage to the area, forcing the host country to move 10 events, including men's football group B, to Bangkok.

The match schedule of U22 Vietnam in Group B has also been adjusted with the opening match taking place on December 3 (one day earlier than the old plan), while the second match remains on December 11.
The semi-finals and finals will take place on December 15 and December 18, respectively. All matches will be held at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).
SEA Games 33 is considered an opportunity for Vietnamese men's football to reassert its position in the region. After only winning a bronze medal at SEA Games 32, U22 Vietnam is eager to return to the top.
