Martial arts disciplines lead the way for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Jujitsu finals start at 9 AM, and it's highly likely that this will be the first medal-winning sport for the Vietnamese delegation at the 33rd SEA Games. In the men's sparring final, Sai Cong Nguyen and Nguyen Anh Tung will compete, while in the women's sparring final, Phung Thi Hong Ngoc and Nguyen Ngoc Bich will represent Vietnam. Additionally, Vietnamese jujitsu athletes will compete in the finals of four other weight categories: 62 kg men (Le Kien, Dao Hong Son), 77 kg men (Dang Dinh Tung, Van Suu), 52 kg women (Trieu Thi Hai Yen, Phung Mui Nhinh), and 63 kg women (Ha Thi Anh Nguyen, Vu Thi Anh Thu).

In taekwondo, the competition started at 11:00 AM with the mixed team final featuring two Vietnamese athletes, Nguyen Trong Phuc and Nguyen Thi Kim Ha. At 1:00 PM, Pham Quoc Viet, Nguyen Thien Phung, and Nguyen Trong Phuc competed in the men's team final. This is the event where Vietnam hopes to win a gold medal. At 2:00 PM, the trio of Le Ngoc Han, Le Tran Kim Uyen, and Nguyen Thi Kim Ha competed in the women's team final, also with high hopes. In addition, the Vietnamese taekwondo team also competed in the mixed team final with athletes Kim Uyen, Xuan Thanh, Dang Khoa, Ho Duy, Y Binh, and Khanh Han.

The canoeing competition near the seaside city of Pattaya also has a high chance of winning a gold medal around 3 PM. The greatest hope rests on Nguyen Thi Huong, a former SEA Games 31 gold medalist who secured a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics, competing in the women's 500m doubles event with Diep Thi Huong. In addition, Vietnam has representatives in the mixed doubles kayak 500m (Vo Duy Thanh, Do Thi Thanh Thao), men's singles canoeing 500m (Pham Hong Quan), and mixed four-person kayak (Hoang Duy, Mai Hanh, Hoang Thi Huong, Thanh Danh).

The highlight of today's competition is the battle of Vietnamese swimmers in the swimming pool, featuring Tran Hung Nguyen and Nguyen Quang Thuan (men's 200m individual medley), Vo Thi My Tien (women's 200m butterfly), Tran Van Nguyen Quoc and Luong Jeremie Loic Nino (men's 100m freestyle), Nguyen Thuy Hien (women's 50m breaststroke), Cao Van Dung and Trinh Truong Vinh (men's 100m backstroke). The qualifying rounds will start at 9:00 AM, while the finals begin at 6:00 PM. Tran Hung Nguyen is the biggest hope, being the reigning champion in the 200m individual medley.

Also on December 10th, Vietnamese sports teams are hoping to win gold medals in chess (team maruk) with the participation of Dao Thien Hai, Bao Khoa, Thanh Ninh, and Gia Bao; in cycling (women's downhill event) with Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang; and in petanque (men's singles, Nguyen Van Dung, women's singles, Nguyen Thi Hien, men's singles, Huynh Cong Tam, and women's singles, Thai Thi Hong Thoa).
In addition, the Vietnamese sports delegation also competed in qualifying rounds in other attractive sports that attracted the attention of fans, such as women's volleyball (Vietnam vs. Myanmar at 3 PM), women's team tennis (Vietnam vs. Philippines at 9 AM), gymnastics (qualifying round from 10 AM), 3x3 basketball (11:50 AM)...
