The matches of U.23 Vietnam at the U.23 Southeast Asian tournament are broadcast live on FPT. Play. This is the playground where U.23 Vietnam has won the championship twice, in 2022 and 2023 respectively. U.23 Vietnam is on an 8-match unbeaten streak in this tournament, defeating many strong opponents such as U.23 Thailand (2 matches with the same score of 1-0 in 2022), U.23 Malaysia (4-1 in the semi-finals in 2023) or U.23 Indonesia (0-0 in the final in 2023).

After 10 days of training and two practice matches with U.23 Taiwan at Ba Ria Stadium (HCMC), Coach Kim Sang-sik decided to reduce the list of U.23 Vietnam to 28 players. This is the first step in adjusting the team's force before the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship.

After a period of professional evaluation through training sessions and two internal practice matches, the coaching staff decided to say goodbye to 8 players including: Nguyen Quang Vinh (SLNA), Nguyen Dang Duong (The Cong Viettel ), Le Dinh Long Vu (SLNA), Dinh Xuan Tien (SLNA), Nguyen Le Phat (PVF), Le Van Thuan (Thanh Hoa), Nguyen Bao Long (PVF), Dinh Quang Kiet (HAGL).

According to the plan, U.23 Vietnam will continue to practice at Ba Ria Stadium (Ba Ria Ward, new Ho Chi Minh City) until July 13, before moving to Indonesia on the morning of July 14 to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament.
