At the closing party, the producer of Hoa Ngoai Chi Y said that the crew spent more than 4 years preparing and more than 4 months filming. The film brought together at least 57 main and supporting actors from the US, Vietnam, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and 612 foreigners participating in this work.
This is considered a TV series with a rare international production scale in Taiwanese television history.
Lien Binh Phat is nervous when acting with actress Truong Quan Ninh.
After more than 4 months in Taiwan to participate in the film, Lien Binh Phat had many memories when filming with Truong Quan Ninh and other actors. He shared: “From the beginning of filming until now, I have put all my effort into completing everything. No matter what the result is, I feel satisfied and happy.”
To prepare for this film project, Lien Binh Phat also invested a lot of effort. The actor said he had to go to Taiwan a month in advance to learn the language and professional knowledge. At the same time, Lien Binh Phat admitted that he felt quite pressured when collaborating with a big Taiwanese star.
"To participate in this project, I had to learn many things from language to medical terminology. I spent a month preparing. When I heard that I would be acting with actor Truong Quan Ninh, I was quite nervous," he said.

The Foreign Medicine is a joint project between Vietnam and Taiwan. The film reflects the difficult life of immigrants. In the film, Lien Binh Phat plays Pham Van Ninh - a Vietnamese doctor living in Taiwan. Pham Van Ninh was born into a poor family, with a father who unfortunately suffered from mental illness. After his father passed away, Pham Van Ninh's mother had to go to Taiwan to work to earn money to raise her children.
As an adult, Pham Van Ninh studied medicine and moved to Taiwan for a 6-month internship. There, he reunited with his mother and formed many close relationships. However, fate played a cruel joke on the male doctor when his mother had an accident and had to spend a lot of money on treatment. With the desire to treat his mother, Pham Van Ninh decided to stay in Taiwan to earn money.
To be able to maintain his life in a foreign land, Pham Van Ninh accepts to work as a secret agent. During his work, he meets and becomes close to a female surgeon (played by Truong Quan Ninh).
