The 2025 Central Region Bai Choi Singing Festival will take place in Da Nang at the end of November.

VHO - The 2025 Central Region Bai Choi Singing Festival, with the theme "Fragrance and Colors of the Central Region", brings together the participation of People's Artists, Meritorious Artists, artisans and heritage practitioners from 7 provinces and cities in the Central region.

On November 14, the Organizing Committee of the Central Region Bai Choi Singing Festival announced that after a temporary postponement due to the impact of stormy weather, the 2025 Festival has been scheduled to be held on November 28 and 29 at An Hai Cultural House (No. 2 Vu Van Dung, An Hai Ward, Da Nang City).

Previously, implementing Decision No. 3470/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 29, 2025 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Organizing Committee had deployed preparations for the Festival. However, due to the impact of storms and widespread flooding in the Central region, the event was forced to be postponed (scheduled to take place from November 14-15) to ensure the safety of the artisans and delegates.

According to the Organizing Committee, the weather conditions have now stabilized, creating favorable conditions for the organization of the event. Restoring the Festival to the end of November is considered necessary to ensure the progress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's plan; at the same time, contributing to the propaganda and promotion of the art of Bài Chòi to the public, raising public awareness of the value of this intangible cultural heritage.

The Organizing Committee requests participating agencies and units to continue to improve the performance program, ensure artistic quality and prepare well for logistics. Units need to regularly update the training situation, member list, and technical support needs for the Organizing Committee; at the same time, closely coordinate so that the Festival takes place in a synchronous, professional and safe manner. Communication and promotion of the group's image and program are also emphasized to spread the value of the Festival to the community and visitors.

This year's festival is not only an opportunity to honor the artisans who are preserving and teaching Bài Chòi, but also an opportunity to exchange and promote the art form recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Through the event, the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to raising community awareness of the role of the heritage of Bai Choi singing in contemporary cultural life, affirming the position of the community - the subject of heritage in preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage.
