Through information gathering, monitoring and applying professional measures, at 5:00 p.m. on August 9, 2024, at the Ban Son Binh traffic area, Ma Ly Pho commune, Phong Tho district, Market Management Team No. 4 coordinated with Department PC03 ( Lai Chau Provincial Police) to inspect a shipment left on the traffic road next to Mr. Ly Van Min's gate, including 30 white pineapple sacks covered with blue tarpaulin.
Batch of processed chicken feet of unknown origin
Through inspection, the bags contained no product labels , no information to determine the origin or place of production of the goods. The goods inside were processed chicken feet with a total weight of 930 kg, estimated value of 23,250,000 VND. During the verification process, the owner, Mr. Ly Van Min, at the time of the inspection could not present any papers, documents, or invoices proving the origin of the goods. Market Management Team No. 4 temporarily detained all of the above goods for handling according to regulations.
Market Management force checks vehicles carrying violating goods
Next, on August 10, 2024, at Phong Tho Town, Market Management Team No. 4 coordinated with Department PC03, Traffic Police Team No. 1 under Department PC08 (Lai Chau Provincial Police) to inspect a Hino brand truck with license plate number: 24H-01.844.
At the time of the inspection, the truck was found to contain 1,000 kg of processed chicken feet in 36 pineapple sacks that were leaking and smelling foul. The estimated value of the goods was 25,000,000 VND. Upon inspection, the sacks containing the goods had no labels and no information to determine the origin or place of production of the goods.
Authorities handle illegal goods according to regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Toi, the driver and owner of the goods, could not present any documents, invoices, or certificates to prove the legal origin of the goods at the time of inspection. Market Management Team No. 4 temporarily detained all of the above goods for handling according to regulations.
