"Bringing music to the hospital - When melodies become words of love" is a program recently held by the union members and youth of Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted and members of the school's CGC - CVP's ​​Guitar Club at the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital.

Teacher To Viet Thang, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, said: “With the desire to bring relaxing moments to doctors, nurses, and patients undergoing treatment, the school's youth union members have dedicated to doctors and patients 5 profound and lyrical songs about family affection, about a beloved home, parents' wishes for their beloved children, about a familiar small alley in daily life... The sweet melodies are sung with the hope of bringing optimism, helping to soothe pain, adding joy and motivation as a precious medicine, a spiritual therapy through art to help patients overcome illness.”

With the viewpoint of "Art for life", meaning art serving social life, developing for people, the team of artists hopes that literary and artistic works will always be loved by the people, become a precious medicine to nourish the soul, help people immerse themselves in a colorful world, containing the beauty of emotions, of aspirations for a subtle and magical worldview; add faith and love, relieve pressure and heal mental wounds.

Musician Tran Van Binh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Art Theater, said: “Always aware of the responsibility of artists to the community, the team of singers and actors of the Provincial Art Theater has strived to create works of art rich in humanity to bring joy, laughter, and spread community values ​​to enrich the spiritual life of the audience. Every year, along with thematic performances and performances serving political events of the province and the country, the theater's actors and artists regularly organize joyful and friendly art programs for people in rural and mountainous areas and workers in industrial parks.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to contribute to spreading and encouraging people to be optimistic and steadfast in overcoming the pandemic, to warm the hearts of doctors and nurses on the front line, and to touch millions of hearts, many plays and songs on the topic of fighting the pandemic such as the song "Vinh Phuc unites to defeat Corona" (musician Tran Binh), "Belief in victory" (musician Phan Huy); skits, sam plays, cheo plays "Join hands to fight the epidemic", "Miracle drug against Covid", "Lunch" ... have been composed and performed by a team of artists with great passion. The works that have been warmly received by the audience are gifts and joys for artists".

Playing a role in modern medicine, different types of VHNT have been used in different ways to help heal emotional wounds, reduce negative symptoms, change behavior and have a positive impact on improving the condition of the disease.

Accordingly, 4 art therapy methods that are being researched and applied in practice today are music therapy, visual art therapy, movement-based creative expression, and art language therapy. Some medical facilities in the province have applied art therapy methods to improve the effectiveness of treatment for patients.

Master, Doctor Tran Thi Nuong, in charge of the Mental Illness - Rehabilitation Unit, Provincial Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital said: "Currently, the Mental Illness - Rehabilitation Unit is actively treating 50 children with autism spectrum disorders and language disorders. Along with medical intervention methods, ABA method (applied behavior analysis based on the scientific foundation of behavior and learning), nurses and teachers at the Unit also use music therapy, visual arts therapy, and art language therapy for children. The process of combining art therapy has contributed to increasing the effectiveness of intervention, raising awareness and helping children develop positive emotions."

In order to encourage and motivate artists to increase the creation of literary and artistic works rich in humanity and emotion, and promote their role as a spiritual support for the people, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association regularly conducts training activities to improve the thinking and creative abilities of its members; organizes seminars on "Updating information on literary and artistic creation trends in the current period"; opens concentrated creation camps; and organizes field trips to create.

Practical activities that were effectively implemented helped the artists experience new lands, better understand the heroic history of the nation, and exploit valuable materials and details for works of art.

From there, spread positive energy in the compositions, promote the role as a spiritual source of social life, honor humanistic values, humanity and solidarity, promote national cultural identity according to the viewpoint of our Party and State.
