In the corridors of the Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital, landscape paintings with bright colors are placed in high-traffic areas.
Besides making the hospital environment more welcoming and vibrant, these paintings also bring a sense of relaxation and optimism to patients during their treatment.
Beyond simply decorating spaces, every month, members of the "One Picture - Many Hopes" project regularly visit hospitals and medical centers to organize painting activities and social gatherings.
Through simple yet meaningful actions, the project is contributing to kindling faith and hope, so that each painting and song is not only a work of art but also a message of love, giving strength to patients on their treatment journey. "Every time the volunteers come to sing and interact, I feel much happier. It's a very meaningful source of encouragement for us," shared Mr. Nguyen Quang Long (Thien Cam commune), who is receiving treatment at the Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital.
Launched in 2016, the project has attracted approximately 5,500 volunteers, along with numerous clubs, organizations, teams, and groups in the area. Mr. Bien Van Quyen (lecturer at Ha Tinh University), the founder and advisor of the project, shared: “We want to bring art closer to patients, helping them find more joy and motivation during their treatment. For the project members, the greatest happiness is seeing the smiles and optimism of the patients.”
After nearly 10 years of operation, the project has donated more than 100 paintings to hospitals and organized many meaningful cultural and artistic programs, contributing to boosting the morale of patients. According to Ms. Phan Linh Chau, a member of the Ha Tinh Art Photography Club: "Each painting we send through the project is not only a spiritual gift for patients but also a sharing and encouragement to give them more faith to overcome difficulties."
"One Picture - Many Hopes" not only brings joy and sharing to patients, but also strongly spreads the spirit of compassion and community responsibility among young people.
Amidst an environment often associated with worries, pain, and the pressures of treatment, the colorful paintings and songs created by members of the "One Painting - Many Hopes" project have become a special "spiritual medicine" for patients.
