The gift packages included essential items (rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, laundry detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, milk...), electric fans, and blankets, with a total value of 100 million VND.
The activities aim to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds and alleviate the daily hardships of the people of Tra Van, helping families celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in a warmer and more fulfilling way.

Tra Van is a particularly disadvantaged mountainous commune with over 98% of its population being ethnic minorities; it is frequently and severely affected by natural disasters, especially landslides during the rainy season.
Karen Leonard OAM, founder of the Lifestart Foundation, said that the gifts are not only material support but also a source of moral encouragement for students and disadvantaged families during the Lunar New Year. This is one of many community projects that the Lifestart Foundation has been implementing in Central Vietnam.
