Lifestart Foundation gives many gifts to people affected by floods

DNO - The non-governmental organization Lifestart Foundation (Australia) in coordination with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City has implemented an emergency aid program to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and rebuilding their lives after floods.

According to a representative of Lifestart Foundation, the recent historic flood caused serious damage, directly affecting thousands of households, including many families that are beneficiaries of the Scholarship Support Project for Excellent Students in Difficult Circumstances sponsored by Lifestart Foundation.

After the flood, Lifestart Foundation visited, gave gifts and cash to 50 families of students and pupils in the project affected by the flood, to help students and their families stabilize their lives soon. The total value of the aid was about 104 million VND.

Ms. Karen Leonard OAM, founder of Lifestart Foundation, said that this activity is a testament to Lifestart Foundation's concern, not only in education but also in supporting students to overcome difficulties after natural disasters, quickly stabilize their lives and continue studying.

In addition to providing aid to students and families under the project, Lifestart Foundation is committed to continuing to implement a long-term plan to support home reconstruction for highland households that suffered heavy damage after natural disasters.

Lifestart Foundation said that in the coming time, it will coordinate to give 200 gifts, worth 200 million VND to households and students in difficult circumstances in Tra Giap commune.
